The founder of Danish juice bar chain Joe & The Juice is planning an expansion into the US market.
Kaspar Basse established the highly-successful juice bar in mid-2002 in inner Copenhagen, and today the bar has become a chain with outlets across the country and more recently Europe, having recently opened bars in London, Stockholm and Gothenburg.
Basse is not stopping there though, and is looking across the pond for his next site. Plans are already in place to open two juice bars in Miami in February and October 2011.
The chain is owned by Basse and three other partners, and for the first half of 2010, the chain has just presented its best figures to date, announcing pre-tax profits of around 2.7 million kroner, up 23 percent from the 2.2 million kroner it posted for the same period in 2009.
