One of the four Danish boaters who went missing when their vessel capsized off the southern tip of Norway last month may have finally been found, reports Politiken newspaper.
Norwegian police reported that a fisherman found the body in the waters just outside the town of Mandal, where six Danes originally began their ill-fated journey in mid-August. However, police say the body had been in the water so long that they are unable to positively identify it yet as one of the missing Danes.
Two of the boaters survived the accident. One of them, Søren Thuesen, swam for hours in the cold waters before alerting the authorities. After days of extensive searching, rescue efforts were called off and the remaining four were presumed drowned.
